Description
The North Carolina State Archives is offering lectures on various Civil War-related topics on the 2nd Mondays of the months February, May, August and November from 2011 through 2015. All programs are from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and are held in the first-floor auditorium of the Archives & History/State Library Building, unless otherwise specified.
Topics for the rest of 2012 are:
May 14 -- “Sacred Bodies: Caring for the Dead During and After the War,” by Bill Brown, Debbi Blake and Chris Meekins of the State Archives
Aug. 13 -- “Bringing in the Dead: The North Carolina Civil War Atlas and Death Study,” by Josh Howard of the Office of Archives & History/Research Branch
Nov. 19 -- “Confederate Conscription Laws: A Primer,” by Bill Brown of the State Archives
