The statewide traveling photo exhibit "Freedom, Sacrifice, Memory" is on display at the Craven County regional library in New Bern Feb. 1-28.
The photographs are from divisions within the N. C. Department of Cultural Resources, including documents and images from the State Archives (
www.archives.ncdcr.gov), images from the N.C. Museum of History (
www.nchistorymuseum.com) and images from Civil War-related State Historic Sites (
www.nchistoricsites.org).
The exhibit is touring the state through the spring of 2013. It was arranged by the State Library (
http://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/index.html), which is also part of Cultural Resources.
The library schedule is: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; and 2-4 p.m. on Sundays.
